Question 6

Even if a project team is not part of project selection, why is it important for them to know why their project was selected?

Even though a project team may not have been part of the project selection, it is important they know why the project was selected. If they know why a project was selected, they have a better understanding of the business need and what the stakeholders want which should help them make a better product or service.

  1. Ethically, one should let a project team know that they are not part of the project selection but, I will have to disagree on its importance. Since the project team is not part of the project selection, they will not take part in working on the project. Letting them know that the project was selected has little to no effect on the project as they are not even working on it. It may even harm the individuals of the teams feelings to they know that they are excluded from the project.
